Correctional Services and Reintegration (JuWe) is part of the Directorate of Justice and the Interior of the Canton of Zurich and is responsible for criminal and measure enforcement as well as the implementation of various types of detention. For our 1,400 employees from around 40 professions, the successful social reintegration of offenders, the prevention of recidivism, as well as the detention and preparation for the departure of persons without a valid residence permit are of particular importance.
The Affoltern am Albis Prison (GFA) is one of the enforcement institutions of the Canton of Zurich (VEZ) – one of seven main departments of JuWe – and is an institution specialized in the closed enforcement of custodial sentences. The GFA offers space for 65 incarcerated persons.
To strengthen the team leadership of the Care and Security Service of the GFA, we are looking for a committed and team-oriented personality.

Your area of responsibility
- You take over the professional and personnel management of your directly subordinate employees and promote their further development
- You ensure a well-structured daily routine, monitor processes, organization and quality, and support the care team. If necessary, you also take on care duties yourself
- With your commitment to project work, you bring valuable impulses and actively contribute to the further development and optimization of our processes
- As an authentic role model, you shape a culture of mutual support, joint learning, and open, transparent communication
- In addition, you take on administrative tasks such as creating reports, file entries, and management reports
Your profile
- A completed vocational training, supplemented by at least five years of professional experience
- Leadership training as well as initial experience in managing employees; a qualification as a correctional officer is an advantage
- Very good German skills in spoken and written form as well as knowledge of at least one other language
- Confident handling of the MS Office suite
- High psychological resilience and flexibility in dealing with changing working hours (shift work, on-call availability)
- A clean record (no entries in the criminal or debt register) and a minimum age of 25 years
