What the daily professional routine looks like

In the operating theatre, you are the central contact person for safe and precise positioning. You ensure that patients are comfortably and optimally positioned and that every procedure runs smoothly. You work closely with the operating theatre team and are involved in the areas of spine, hip, shoulder, knee, trauma, visceral surgery, and ENT.

• When receiving patients, you ensure they feel safe and well supported
• Before, during, and after the operation, you take care of the precise positioning and ensure that each position meets the requirements of the operation.
• The setup of the positions is carried out individually according to the specifications of the surgeons.
• You prepare medical devices and materials professionally and operate them safely throughout the entire procedure.
• According to modern standards, you pay attention to patient safety and the correct implementation of all positioning guidelines.
• After the procedure, you safely accompany the patients out of the operating theatre and ensure a smooth conclusion.

Skills and potential

• Completed vocational training as a Health Specialist EFZ or other medical training
• Specialist course for operating theatre positioning is an advantage or willingness to complete it
• Ideally professional experience in a comparable role and great interest in the operating theatre environment
• Good German language skills, spoken and written
• High commitment and willingness to work weekend and night shifts
• Precise, resilient, empathetic, and team-oriented personality with a sense for exact work
