Company Description
The Official Youth Foundation (FOJ) aims to promote the psycho-social development of children, adolescents, and young people in difficulty, in collaboration with parents and partner institutions. Bound by a service contract with the State of Geneva, the FOJ is committed to protecting and defending the interests of the child.
Serving families in the canton, it works through four main areas of action: child welfare , emergency reception , family support , and preparation for autonomy .
To fulfill its mission, the institution manages 47 facilities across the Canton of Geneva, has more than 500 places for minors and young adults, and also offers outpatient educational services at home. The FOJ is composed of 670 employees.
To successfully carry out its mission, the FOJ is looking for a cook for its Les Ecureuils Doret home, a medium- and long-term residence that welcomes children aged 4 to 15 years.
Job Description
Preparation of meals from Monday to Friday, lunch and dinner, and meals to be reheated on weekends for beneficiaries as well as for the educational team.
Management of orders and stocks.
Manage a kitchen with professional equipment.
Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
Work only from Monday to Friday.
Activity rate: 80%.
Contract type: Permanent contract.
Start date: from December 1, 2025.
Grade: 9 or 11 according to the salary scale of the State of Geneva.

Qualifications
Professional cooking certificate (CFC) or equivalent diploma.
Sense of pedagogy and working with children.
Previous experience in collective catering is an asset.
Mastery of hygiene standards and kitchen safety rules.
Flexible and able to adapt quickly to diverse populations.
Ability to work independently, initiative, and excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to prepare balanced, varied meals with fresh and seasonal products.
Ability to adapt to dietary constraints (diets, allergies, etc.).
