Training to become a Dipl. Nurse / Dipl. Nurse HF

Duration of training

We offer you two options, the three-year course to become a certified nurse HF builds on a secondary level II qualification, and the two-year course on a FaGe EFZ. Both courses start on 15.09.2025.

Professional profile

As a certified nurse HF (specializations: somatics and child and adolescent psychiatry and psychotherapy), you are responsible for the care and support of people of all ages, in different physical and/or mental conditions and in various social environments. You act as a central liaison with various professionals and promote the best recovery process for patients.

Furthermore, our trainees have access to the learning workshop, and self-organized learning also takes place in the departments – with the learning offer KoLeG (Cooperative Learning Group)

Requirements for the three-year course

• Specialized middle school or gymnasium maturity or

• Completion of at least a 3-year vocational training EFZ (preferably from a medical or related profession) and

• passed aptitude assessment at the Careum Education Center or at ZAG including a two-day aptitude internship

Requirements for the two-year course

• Completion of FaGe EFZ
• passed aptitude assessment at the Careum Education Center or at ZAG including a two-day aptitude internship
