For our client, an international company based in Schaffhausen, we are looking for an Associate Project Engineer (m/f/d).
The Associate Project Engineer (m/f/d) will be a key contributor, utilizing creativity and technical expertise to develop new and innovative solutions within our portfolio of low-voltage products and systems. This role is crucial for both the design of entirely new products and the optimization of components within our existing product line.

Your responsibilities:
- Innovative Design & Development: Development of innovative design concepts to provide solutions for the tasks addressed to you and collaborate with project and product teams
- Design Optimization & Implementation: Execute design optimizations and redesigns for the existing product portfolio to enhance performance, manufacturability, and cost-efficiency
- Manufacturing Readiness: Create manufacturing-ready designs for components, proactively implementing solutions in cooperation with product teams and exchanging with relevant manufacturing departments
Your qualifications:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, Mechatronics, or a closely related technical field
- 3+ years of professional experience in a relevant design/engineering capacity
- Strong technical knowledge in the design of various component types, including: Plastic components (injection molding, etc.), Stamped and bent metal parts
- Ideal: Technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, particularly in the field of low-voltage products
- CAD Proficiency: Very good knowledge and hands-on application of CAD software (preferably Solidworks)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both German and English
- Tools: Very good knowledge and application of Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS-Project)
- A high degree of self-motivation, a results-oriented work ethic, a positive attitude, and a proven ability to be a quick learner
