Intern in Social Science Environmental Research (m/f/d)
The research unit Economics and Social Sciences addresses economic, institutional, and societal questions related to WSL research topics such as landscape, natural resources, spatial development, and natural hazards and is looking for, as part of a survey of the Swiss population on risk awareness and precautionary behavior regarding natural hazards, starting November 1, 2025 or by agreement, a fixed-term position for 6 months
During the internship, you will support the project leader in the empirical application of a constructivist landscape approach using the case study of Davos. This includes conducting qualitative interviews, accompanying focus group workshops, and assisting in the design, implementation, and analysis of a population survey.
Requirements for this internship include a completed master's degree in geography, environmental sciences, sociology, or psychology. In addition, you have knowledge of qualitative and quantitative social research and GIS, speak and write fluent German, and have the ability to work independently and carefully.
