File Manager for the ENT Operating Program
As part of a departure, the management of the oto-rhino-laryngology (ENT) service is looking for a file manager to support the activity of the operating program, at a 50% activity rate, for a start date on May 1, 2026, or as agreed.
This position places you at the heart of the operative organization of a leading surgical service.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a reference role in the fields of medical care, research, and training.
The Oto-Rhino-Laryngology (ENT) Service provides highly specialized care for diseases of the ears, nose, throat, and respiratory tract, including cancers, infections, and reconstructions. It also performs cervico-facial surgery interventions and coordinates dental medicine.
Patients, both adults and children, are cared for on an outpatient or inpatient basis, in a cutting-edge medical and surgical environment (robotic surgery, endoscopy, research laboratory). The service, one of the largest surgical services at CHUV, is evolving in a context of strong activity development.
Mission
- You summon and inform patients about their surgical interventions, additional examinations, and changes in operation dates
- You ensure the surgical scheduling for outpatient and inpatient surgery, depending on the type of intervention and the surgeons' operating days
- You work closely and coordinate information with all stakeholders of the service and department.
Profile
- You hold a Federal VET Diploma as a commercial employee or an equivalent qualification or experience
- You have at least 2 years of experience in a similar position
- You have typing skills and good writing abilities
- You have a very good knowledge of medical terminology
- You possess good knowledge of English and/or German
- You master common office tools (Microsoft Office)
- You know the specific CHUV tools, an asset
- You are empathetic, dynamic, committed, and proactive, with a real sense of organization and planning
- You have good communication skills and interpersonal qualities allowing you to interact with multidisciplinary teams while working independently
- You have a strong sense of service and priorities, as well as very good analytical skills
- You demonstrate rigor, adaptability, and reliability.
