Assistant to the Head of the IT Department

- The IT department of the Neuchâtel police supports the various functions of the police in terms of IT and telecommunications. It constantly maintains and improves the IT infrastructure of the police so that it can fulfill its mission of public safety and protection of the population. Furthermore, it collaborates closely with the IT service of the Neuchâtel Entity (SIEN) for the development and maintenance of the police's business applications.
- In support of the department head, you play a central role in supervising the IT teams and contribute to achieving the common goals of the entity. While participating in the design and development of innovative solutions, in collaboration with SIEN and the users, you ensure the operational follow-up of major projects of the Neuchâtel police. You also ensure the proper functioning of the information systems in close connection with the person responsible for the security of information systems (RSSI).
- Thanks to confirmed experience in the IT field or in a similar role and a university-level education in computer science, a higher education institution, or deemed equivalent, you possess the main assets to take on this challenge. An expert in IT infrastructure, you master both project management and the drafting of specifications. Your excellent organizational, analytical, and synthesis skills, combined with a resolutely solution-oriented approach, allow you to thrive easily within a team as well as in a network of partners. Flexible, you mobilize your negotiation skills and your ability to support change effectively. Mastery of a second national language, ideally German, is an additional asset.
