Set in the heart of one of the city’s most beautiful parks, the Restaurant–Hôtel du Parc des Eaux-Vives offers five rooms and two junior suites overlooking the lake, the park, or the tennis courts. The charming manor features a seasonal restaurant with a panoramic terrace.
The ground floor offers four modular private lounges. On the first floor, the space can be fully privatized and includes a meeting room, a lake-view terrace, and a bar.

We are recruiting a Head of Events Sales to join our Commercial Team, reporting directly to the Commercial Director and leading the Event Sales Team.
OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:
Create an innovative and stimulating environment where guests can connect, disconnect, or reconnect with what is important. You will do this by understanding our guests’ needs and providing a modern, attentive approach to luxury, while you ensure that each guest feels connected, fulfilled, and valued.
As a manager, you facilitate support across the organization as needed to ensure efficiency and continuous improvements, where we all deliver an authentic, personalized, and lasting impact on our guests, and colleagues acting as a role model, leading by example guided by our behaviors.
OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION:
The Head of Events sales oversees the commercial performance of the event department, ensuring optimization of sales, creating adapted experiences and offers and ensuring a perfect delivery of the events, at the Hôtel Métropole Genève and the Restaurant-Hôtel du Parc des Eaux-Vives. This includes corporate events, festive celebrations, product launches, weddings and more. He/She presents and delivers a yearly commercial strategy for the events and builds the budgets and forecasts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategy & event development
- Define and manage the overall event strategy for both establishments
- Develop event revenue and optimize profitability
- Design tailor-made and distinctive event offerings
- Ensure consistent positioning while respecting the unique identity of each establishment
- Anticipate trends in luxury, premium MICE and exclusive experiences
High-end sales and customer relations
- Oversee prospecting, negotiation and contracting for major events
- Personally manage VIP customers, key accounts and premium agencies
- Develop a solid network of high-end partners
- Ensure high standards in customer relations, personalization and confidentiality
Operational excellence
- Oversee the planning, organization and execution of events at both sites.
- Ensure flawless, smooth execution in line with luxury standards.
- Coordinate closely with internal departments (F&B, Accommodation, Technical, Housekeeping, Security, Spa if applicable).
- Select and manage premium external service providers (caterers, set designers, audiovisual, entertainment)
Management & leadership
- Manage, structure and develop the skills of the events teams
- Harmonize working methods, processes and quality standards
- Set individual and collective objectives and support performance
- Embody demanding, caring and inspiring leadership
Financial management & reporting
- Develop and monitor event budgets for both establishments
- Manage profitability, margins and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Set up regular reporting to senior management
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements, safety regulations and the group's quality standards
Team Development & Process Optimization
- Review and optimize systems, processes, and tools across departments for maximum efficiency.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless guest experiences and consistent messaging.
General
- Apply all procedures and standards, and immediately apply continued improvements
- Apply and keep yourself updated on all health, safety and security standards
- Apply best sustainable practices according to the hotels’ standards
- Keep yourself updated on all offers, services and events at the hotels
- Keep yourself updated about what is going on in Geneva to share it
- Live and promote the values of the hotels
- Keep the modern image of the hotels and always protect their reputation (social media included)
KEY COMPETENCIES:
- Excellent command of sales and negotiation techniques.
- Strong ability to analyze figures and sales performance.
- Excellent command of luxury codes and premium customer experience.
- Natural leadership, organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and keen sense of customer service.
- Ability to work in a demanding, result-oriented environment.
- Analytical and strategic thinker with strong business acumen and hands-on execution skills
- Fluent in French and English (other languages a plus).
- Team oriented
- Knowledge in the specific software used in event management, account managermen (Opera Cloud is a plus)
position framework:
Location: Geneva on property – 4 days/week in office expected. Hybrid work possible 1 day/week
