Research Associate in Production Management with the Intention to Pursue a PhD at the Institute of Technology Management (m/f/d)

Our division is divided into three research groups with respective focuses on:
Operational Excellence (OPEX) supports industry partners, especially from the pharmaceutical industry, on their path to continuous improvement.
Global Production (GPROD) conducts industry and research projects on the management of global production networks as a team and with partner institutions.
Smart Manufacturing & Services (SMAS) develops new approaches together with leading industrial companies to successfully transition from a product to a solution provider.

• Conceptual development and operational implementation of models, methods, and solutions
• Collection, preparation, and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data with subsequent meaningful presentation
• Preparation and moderation of workshops and presentations at senior management levels
• Transfer of research content into practice within independently managed projects
• Supportive activities in teaching

• Completed university degree in (business) engineering or business administration with a grade point average of at least 5.0 (equivalent to 2.0 in DE and AT)
• Prior knowledge and evident interest in the topics of our division
• Ideally, initial consulting, industry, and project management experience
• Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written, as well as confident use of common MS Office programs
• Optional: First knowledge of or willingness to learn R or Python

• High level of motivation and teamwork skills, an independent, results-oriented working style, initiative, commitment, and enjoyment of work
• Confident and reliable demeanor when dealing with project partners
• Willingness to travel
