The Directorate for Security, Environment and Energy is committed to safety, protection and assistance, environmental protection, sustainable energy supply, and is responsible for building permit procedures as well as the Bern Zoo. The Building Inspectorate manages and coordinates the building permit procedure and monitors compliance with building legislation.

Profile
- Training as an architect or similar
- Ideally a diploma as a building administrator or willingness to obtain one
- Several years of experience in a building administration with procedural management or in an architectural office with building submissions
- Flair for applying legal foundations
- Confident appearance and clear communication in oral and written form
