Librarian

The Kantonsschule Frauenfeld is a forward-looking school with three departments: Gymnasium, Fachmittelschule, and Informatikmittelschule. Our school community includes around 1000 young people and adults. The school has its own media library, whose wide-ranging media offerings are available to all members of the school.

Due to retirement, we are looking to complement our team as of August 1, 2026 with a

• Advising and supporting school members on information and media matters
• Purchasing, recording, presenting, and updating in coordination with the media library management
• Introducing students to the media library

• Librarian training (Information and Documentation Specialist EFZ) or Bibliosuisse certificate course (formerly SAB basic course) or equivalent training
• Cataloging experience (RDA) and research skills
• Good knowledge of Office programs
• Strong interest in the book and media landscape
• Enjoy working with young people
• High degree of independence, initiative, and precise working style

• Independent work in a small team
• Attractive employment conditions of the cantonal administration
• Modern workplace
