JOB PURPOSE:
The position of chambermaid/valet requires being qualified in cleaning and maintaining rooms and demonstrating team spirit. The hotel has a reputation and a high-quality clientele. That is why we only employ staff ready to perform consistently high-quality work and to invest themselves to always satisfy the customer. A refined and warm personality is required to maintain the solid reputation of one of the best hotels in Geneva. An empathetic and good-willed relationship with clients and colleagues, accompanied by excellent organizational skills, are key elements for a chambermaid/valet.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Must always have exemplary conduct.
Must respect all conduct quality criteria and hotel regulations.
Must respect hygiene and safety rules as well as quality criteria and procedures within their service.
Always be punctual, diligent and notify the service in time in case of problems or delays.
Ability to badge in.
Responsible for their master key which they will take themselves from the secure cabinet and return at the end of their shift.
Ability to understand and use an iPod where their digital report is located.
Know how to fill their bucket with cleaning products.
Ability to clean, dust, disinfect and replenish welcome products and linen in all guest rooms and bathrooms assigned daily according to Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues quality procedures and criteria.
Know how to make a bed and vacuum a guest room.
Respond perfectly to "Do Not Disturb", "Please Make Up My Room" signs and subsequent calls accordingly.
Maintain corridors in perfect cleanliness without debris on the floor or console.
Ensure that room doors are always kept closed, whether occupied or not.
Keep the office tidy; linen and welcome products.
Ensure to clear all Room Service materials (plates, glasses, cutlery), place them in the Room Service office and remove trash respecting recycling order. When cleaning the room, notify Room Service to remove tables and the Housekeeping office to remove boards and irons.
Inform the housekeeper of any necessary repairs or interventions in rooms and make Hotsos requests so that they are repaired.
Strictly follow quality criteria and procedures for linen, supplies and welcome products setup.
Ensure perfect maintenance, cleanliness and upkeep of their uniform. Must have a perfect appearance throughout their service.
Offer any necessary assistance to guests and colleagues.
Know how to best use cleaning products and equipment according to needs.
Be able to respond quickly and intelligently to emergency situations in the hotel.
Ensure proper application of instructions and any changes requested by management and demonstrate flexibility.
After removing dirty glasses, only replace clean tooth glasses.
Be able to notify the housekeeper, office and security of any found objects in a departure.
Call the housekeeper when taking a break or when the assigned work at the start of the shift is finished and offer help to other colleagues.
Apply and master quality standards related to your function.
