The Zurich Public Prosecutor's Office (STA.ZH) is responsible for prosecuting crimes committed by adults in the canton of Zurich. It employs around 470 staff across eight offices as well as the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. The "Finance and Controlling" department in the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office ensures an efficient accounting system and provides corresponding professional services and support in the offices.
From January 1, 2026, or by agreement, we are looking for your support as an Accounting Clerk (60 – 80%).
Your tasks include:
- Checking and coding of decentralized scanned investigation invoices and forwarding them for approval to the responsible persons via electronic workflow
- Monitoring the approval process of creditor invoices
- Checking and closing interpreter receipts including user support
- Processing received reminders and inquiries with suppliers
- Handling external and internal telephone or written inquiries
- Processing the daily mail for the accounting department
- Performing and documenting assigned internal control system (ICS) points within accounts payable
- Co-designing, harmonizing, and further developing internal departmental processes
You fit with us with this profile:
- In addition to a commercial basic education, you ideally have completed further training as an accounting clerk
- You bring at least three years of professional experience in a comparable environment (public administration, healthcare, etc.)
- You enjoy working with various IT tools, are proficient in MS Office, and have already gained initial experience with SAP
- You are a team player and enjoy working in an open-plan office with 10 colleagues, think networked, and like to take responsibility
- You are a resilient personality who works reliably, accurately, and with high concentration even on repetitive tasks
- You enjoy collaborating with various interfaces, are communicative, and service-oriented
