Your Tasks
Your main task is the care of patients in a mixed consultation of the departments of Oncology, Hematology, and Transfusion Medicine with a focus on hematological neoplasms, general hematology, and hemostaseology under specialist supervision. You also participate in the consultation service. You attend interdisciplinary tumor boards and internal training sessions. After an induction phase, you participate in weekend duties. You are part of a 30-member team of doctors from the departments of Oncology, Hematology, and Transfusion Medicine with additional specialization in cellular therapy, hemostaseology, and palliative care. You gain broad experience in the entire spectrum of the field including autologous stem cell transplantation and CAR-T therapy. As part of a 4-year training to become a specialist in Hematology, rotations in the Institute for Laboratory Medicine and Blood Donation Center are planned in addition to clinical training on the ward, in the consultation, and consultation service. Further training in transfusion medicine or hematological diagnostics FAMH can be offered.
Your Profile
You have completed the Swiss federal state examination (or equivalent with MEBEKO recognition) and have at least 2 years of experience in general internal medicine. Your training goal is to become a specialist in Hematology FMH or you are interested in this specialty within the framework of another training curriculum.
