At the Lower Emme School, over 1000 students are taught by 125 teachers at the three locations in Bätterkinden, Utzenstorf, and Wiler.
We are looking for a new member of the school management conference starting August 1, 2026. The workload is around 50-60%. You will be employed by the municipal association, but personnel management is the responsibility of the co-head of the school.

Tasks
As part of the school management conference, you will take on the following cross-sectional tasks for the entire Lower Emme School:
- Management of Cycle 1 of the Lower Emme School
- Planning of internal training
- Leadership of the working group "New Authority"
You will pedagogically, personally, and operationally lead a site faculty with 45 teachers at the Bätterkinden location together with the existing site management of Cycle 2&3.
You support the teachers in fulfilling their professional duties.
You develop the teaching and school quality in collaboration with the other school leaders and ensure its implementation. You are part of various working groups.
You ensure internal and external communication.
Requirements
You have completed school management training or are willing to complete it promptly.
You have knowledge of the Bernese school system, especially development priorities in Cycle 1.
You have several years of teaching experience.
You have leadership experience, can assert yourself, and show the ability to accept criticism.
You have skill in dealing with children, teachers, parents, and authorities.
You are proficient in personal and written communication.
You are reliable, resilient, flexible, and ready to work.
