Technical SAP IT Project Manager at the IT Department
The Information Systems Department (DSI) of CHUV is looking for a technical SAP IT project manager to strengthen its team, with a workload between 80% and 100%.
Expected start date from April 1, 2026.
Context
The University Hospital of Lausanne (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. In close collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a leading role in care, research, and education.
Attached to the Information Systems Department (DSI), the IT Applications team provides essential services in application management and integration, data warehouse, web solutions, and collaborative applications, serving the entire institution.
In a strategic transition context towards a SAP solution for patient administrative management, the DSI is strengthening its SAP Customer Center of Expertise (CCoE). This multidisciplinary team, composed of business and IT experts, ensures the evolution, maintenance, and sustainability of the SAP platform in a complex and critical hospital environment.
Mission
- You manage and coordinate all technical SAP activities related to the evolution and maintenance of the platform
- You estimate workloads, develop schedules, manage priorities, risks, and dependencies
- You oversee supplier relationships, particularly regarding maintenance contracts
- You ensure the application of CCoE SAP processes (Incident Management, Release Management, Access Management)
- You produce dashboards and monitoring indicators for management (SLA, KPI)
- You coordinate the operation of the SAP platform with internal teams and external partners
- You ensure the implementation of new SAP versions in close collaboration with the DSI technical and operations teams
- You handle change requests, incidents, and support activities in a structured and efficient manner
- You participate in the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of SAP technical components
- You take part in the support on-call rotation
- You contribute to the continuous improvement of operational processes (monitoring, deployments, performance, security)
- You familiarize yourself with the CHUV information system and propose adapted implementation scenarios
- You collaborate closely with projects impacting the SAP platform.
Profile
- You hold a higher education degree in computer science (ES, HES or equivalent)
- You have proven experience in managing complex IT projects and high value-added environments
- You have at least 5 years of experience managing SAP applications, especially SAP Basis aspects (monitoring, technical configuration, operations)
- You master SAP R/3 environments and the transactions necessary for managing different systems
- You have good knowledge of the IS-H module
- You have strong skills in complex technical environments: SAP, SAP HANA, operating systems, databases, network, backup tools
- Knowledge of modules and tools such as Solution Manager, Cloud ALM or MDC is an asset
- You have concrete experience with SAP production deployments and the functioning of a Customer Center of Expertise (CCoE)
- You have additional knowledge in Windows, relational databases, scripting, EAI tools, and HL7 standards
- You are proficient in English and German, both spoken and written
- You can switch from a global vision to a detailed technical level
- You work autonomously, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- You appreciate collaborative work and have excellent interpersonal skills.
