Desk secretary for the Dermatology Department
The Dermatology and Venereology Department of the CHUV is recruiting a desk secretary at 80%–100%, on a permanent contract, for a start date of May 1, 2026.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a leading role in medical care, research, and education.
Attached to the Department of Medicine, the Dermatology and Venereology Department is a reference center for the management of skin, nail, and hair diseases. It offers outpatient consultations and surgeries, specialized treatments, laboratory analyses (mycology, histopathology), as well as inpatient care.
The department stands out for a multidisciplinary, patient-centered approach and clinical excellence supported by the latest advances in medical research.
In a context of strong growth and reorganization, the department is strengthening its administrative team and is recruiting a desk secretary.
The position reports to the head of the outpatient clinic desk.

In close collaboration with the administrative team of the outpatient clinic desk (about 10 staff members), you will rotate through all administrative activities of the department's desks (general and specialized outpatient dermatology, hospital sector).
As such:
- You ensure a professional and caring welcome for patients in outpatient consultation
- You guarantee rigorous administrative management of patient files
- You handle phone calls and emails efficiently and diplomatically
- You organize and coordinate appointment scheduling for consultations and outpatient surgeries
- You update, monitor, and ensure proper maintenance of files
- You prepare files for archiving
- You actively contribute to the smooth administrative functioning of the outpatient consultation.
Profile
- You hold a Federal VET Diploma as a commercial employee or an equivalent qualification
- You have about 2 years of experience in a similar role
- You are dynamic, flexible, punctual, and have an excellent sense of service
- You demonstrate responsibility, rigor, and proactivity
- You have excellent stress resistance and enjoy teamwork
- You master French perfectly and have excellent spelling
- You are proficient with common office tools (Microsoft Office suite)
- You know the specific CHUV tools, which is an asset.
