The Agriculture Department in the Office for Landscape and Nature promotes sustainable and competitive

Zurich agriculture through direct payments for environmentally and animal-friendly production methods as well as biodiversity. It implements agricultural policy. The Direct Payments team is looking for an intern for 12 months starting July 1, 2026, or by arrangement.

Zurich agriculture through direct payments for environmentally and animal-friendly production methods as well as biodiversity. It implements agricultural policy. The Direct Payments team is looking for an intern for 12 months starting July 1, 2026, or by arrangement.

Your tasks

• Support in collecting data and data control for direct payments as well as processing biodiversity applications (including geodata)
• Accompanying controls (Q2) and data entry in LAWIS plus
• Support in sampling in the field to monitor pesticide use
• Use of digiFLUX to manage fertilizer transfers
• Maintaining contact with farmers and operators of biogas and composting plants

Your profile

• Bachelor or Master in Agricultural Sciences or Geography (ETH, HAFL, ZHAW)
• High IT affinity and good GIS skills
• Ideally experience in agricultural policy enforcement and with databases
• Independent, careful and reliable working style
• Enjoy working with various stakeholders
