Head of the Office for Studies and Teaching (80%)
University of Teacher Education FHNW, Institute of Special Education and Psychology
Your tasks:
You are responsible for the planning, assurance, evaluation, and further development of the study operations in the degree programs Speech Therapy and Special Education as well as in other study offerings of the institute. Your area of responsibility as Head of the Office for Studies and Teaching includes in particular:
- Ensuring consistent knowledge management and conducting related events
- Communication with lecturers and students and final processing of concerns, requests, and special regulations
- Close collaboration with the institute director, the department heads, and the head of administration and taking on direct and lateral leadership responsibilities
- Representing the interests of the institute and ensuring high-quality study conditions in cooperation with internal FHNW stakeholders and committees
- Project management in the area of quality development in studies and teaching as well as support for innovation projects
Your profile:
- University degree (at least at master’s level) related to pedagogy/education
- Professional skills for at least one of the diverse tasks in the field of educational innovation and management (e.g., project management, knowledge management, development of educational offerings, higher education didactics)
- Ideally, initial experience and qualifications in a demanding higher education environment
- Experience in successful collaboration with various internal and external actors in theory and practice
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills and solution-oriented action
- Confident appearance, proven high resilience, and good sensitivity to your own resources and those of students, lecturers, and other persons
- High affinity for the core topics of the institute
