With nearly 1,100 employees, the Department of Psychiatry fulfills a triple mission covering the treatment of mental disorders, education, and research. The department provides high-quality inpatient, outpatient, and mobile psychiatric care to adult patients residing in the canton of Geneva as part of a public health mission. The care offered includes biological, psychotherapeutic, and social diagnosis and treatment.
The addictology service ensures the diagnosis and therapeutic management of patients suffering from addiction problems (with and/or without substances) in line with the Confederation and canton's policy in the field of addictions, known as the "4 pillars" (prevention, harm reduction, treatment, and individual care).
Job Description
The psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy program of the addictology service has been in place since 2020 and is a pioneer in PAP treatments for people suffering from resistant psychiatric disorders.
As head of clinic, you will join a multidisciplinary team and work closely with other caregivers (psychologists and nurses).
You will assess and monitor patients referred to this program, ensuring medical and psychotherapeutic follow-up as well as the administration of the psychedelic substance on the day of treatment.
You will participate in research projects and teaching activities related to psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy.
You will take part in on-call duties and shifts for heads of clinic.
Qualifications
You hold a federal medical diploma or training deemed equivalent by the Medical Professions Commission of the Federal Office of Public Health (MEBEKO).
Gifted with a strong team spirit, you demonstrate solid experience in multidisciplinary contexts.
For non-French-speaking candidates, a C1 level in spoken and written French is required.
