Administrative Employee 50%
The Department of Education and Migration offers training and further education for intercultural interpreters and mediators as well as for professionals in the asylum, refugee, and migration sectors. Furthermore, it is a coordination partner of the canton of Schwyz in various employment and integration projects. On behalf of the federal government, the department is also involved in the network against female genital mutilation. On behalf of the cantons of Obwalden, Schwyz, and Zug, it supports migrants in the preparation and organization of voluntary as well as forced returns.
Your tasks
- Support of the interpreting management
- Organization and coordination of course dates, rooms, and lecturers
- Administrative support of training and events, including registration procedures and invoicing
- Consultation of (potential) participants via email or phone
- Maintenance of course materials on the learning platform
- Preparation of contractual agreements with lecturers and other service providers
- Management of the secretariat (phone, email, mail, information dissemination, correspondence)
- Creation and revision of documentation, statistics, lists, etc.
- Substitution for a colleague within the same department
Our requirements
- Completed commercial training and at least three years of professional experience, ideally in educational institutions, the non-profit sector, or social organizations
- Confident German language skills in spoken and written form as well as good knowledge of French and English
- Very good knowledge of common MS Office programs
- Experience with digital learning platforms
- Open, friendly personality with high initiative and organizational skills
- Structured and analytical thinking with a focus on the essentials
- Independent, reliable, and solution-oriented working style
- Resilient and confident in dealing with diverse stakeholders in a dynamic environment
