The BVS Lower Emmental, the Special Primary School of the Training and Work Center (SAZ) Burgdorf, educates around 120 cognitively, physically and/or mentally impaired children and adolescents in 21 classes at four locations in Burgdorf and Utzenstorf.
At SAZ Burgdorf, cognitively as well as physically or mentally impaired people have found a place to learn, work and live for over 50 years. Around 225 employees support about 185 adults with support needs. The SAZ is a regionally well-established institution recognized by the federal government and canton with a wide range of services.

Tasks
This is what you will accomplish with us:
You will teach a small class of 5 to 7 students as the classroom teacher.
The support is based on Curriculum 21 and is tailored to the individual abilities and skills of the students.
The class team usually consists of the classroom teacher, a specialist (social pedagogue, FaBe-K or FaGe) and a classroom assistant.
You will take on the role of classroom teacher and lead the class and the class team.
Requirements
We are pleased if you are a trained teacher and hold a Master’s degree in Special Needs Education. Several years of professional experience are an advantage but not a requirement. You bring joy and interest in working with children with special needs. You look forward to becoming part of the dedicated kindergarten/lower primary team.
