For the leadership of the Safety Analyses group within the Radiation Protection and Safety department, we are looking for a

Your tasks

Technical, personnel, and organizational leadership of the Safety Analyses group as well as management of the subordinate employees
Coordination and management of approval procedures to obtain permits for the safe operation of the facilities for the disposal of radioactive waste (AERA) at PSI and management of projects related to this activity
Responsibility for the structured and timely processing as well as systematic follow-up of requirements from the supervisory authority
Preparation of written documents and reports
Collaboration with interdisciplinary expert groups and presentation of results in technical discussions with the supervisory authority as well as at conferences

Your profile

Completed university degree in a technical or mathematical-natural science subject, preferably with a doctorate
Solid expertise in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering as well as radioactivity and radiation protection, ideally with practical experience
Experience in personnel management is an advantage
Enjoyment in analyzing complex situations and implementing them into pragmatic solutions as well as a high sense of responsibility
Very good IT and programming skills
Confident expression in German and good English skills
