The position is attached to the Operations Department . This department's mission is to ensure the stewardship and logistics necessary for the smooth operation of all HUG services, in terms of catering, cleaning and disinfection of premises, and laundry hygiene. It also manages the sterilization service, biomedical service and equipment, as well as Cressy-Santé. More than 1,300 professionals carry out their tasks daily with constant attention to quality, a sense of service, and environmental responsibility.
The catering service includes seven kitchens and eleven catering outlets (brasserie, cafeteria-restaurant, café, sandwich shop) serving about 9,000 meals per day. This service aims to offer quality services and pleasant, friendly moments to patients, employees, and clients, through attentive service meeting the criteria of a balanced and varied diet that complies with high hygiene and flavor standards. The catering service also offers a catering service (banquets, aperitifs, etc.) at the institution's various sites. Throughout HUG, the catering service focuses on fresh products and local products labeled Genève Région Terre Avenir.
Job Description
As part of your activity, you perform the kitchen operations necessary for the preparation of quality dishes intended for patient consumption.
You actively participate in hot and cold production, regeneration, finishing, and meal distribution. You prepare dishes that meet the specific needs of patients in terms of diet or texture.
You are responsible for controlling the products used, strictly respecting hygiene and safety standards.
Qualifications
You hold a Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as a cook or an equivalent diploma with excellent knowledge of food hygiene rules. The federal diploma of cook in dietetics or any training related to dietetics is an asset.
You have at least 5 years of professional experience with traditional establishments and/or collectives. You are accustomed to producing large volumes in a semi-industrial kitchen with next-generation equipment.
You have a good level of French (A2 for writing and B1 for speaking).
You demonstrate commitment, know how to work in a team, and have a sense of communication. You are a creative, open-minded, and customer-oriented person, able to work independently.

The position involves carrying loads requiring good physical condition and is organized with irregular hours.
