Job Description
Summary of responsibilities: Reporting to the Technical Director, the essential responsibilities and functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Constantly provide a professional, friendly, and pleasant service
- Control the machines and installations of the Laundry
- Ensure the control and maintenance of electrical devices and installations
- Veritas control according to the periodic inspection report
- Ensure the proper functioning of kitchen equipment
- Check refrigerators, refrigerated cabinets, and ice machines
- Control steam boilers, compressed air
- Ensure the proper functioning of the Fitness Center equipment
- Oversee the control of the pool, gardens, and roadways
- Perform pollution control and various regulations
- Ensure that emergency lights and all fire safety systems are operational
- Ensure the proper functioning of elevators and freight elevators
- Ensure the proper functioning of the hotel's air conditioning
- Ensure compliance with the work schedule by internal and external companies.
- Manage the technical equipment stock
- Prepare work estimates
- Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Required electrician training
- Fluency in French
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience in the hotel industry and in a similar position desired
- Knowledge in plumbing, air conditioning, and refrigeration desired
- Ability to manage the department alone at night/weekends
- Knowledge in electromechanics, low current, and IT networking is an asset
