The Northern Vaud Psychiatry Center is looking for a cleaning and hygiene agent at a rate of 80% - 100%. The start date is scheduled for November 1, 2025.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital Center (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and training.
The psychiatry department consists of 12 services addressing the three stages of life. It includes the Central, Western, and Northern psychiatric sectors of the canton of Vaud. Its mission is the comprehensive and multidisciplinary care of children, adolescents, adults, and elderly people suffering from mental disorders. Caregivers provide acute care to patients but also offer outpatient follow-ups and support in their usual living environment.
As a cleaning and hygiene agent at the Northern Vaud Psychiatry Center, your role is fundamental in maintaining clean, safe, and hygienic environments within our facility. You work closely with the care team to ensure that treatment, residential, and work spaces are free of contaminants and conducive to patient recovery.
Mission
- You maintain cleanliness and order in assigned areas, which may include patient rooms, bathrooms, consultation rooms, waiting rooms, and other common areas
- You clean floors, surfaces, windows, and furniture and dispose of waste appropriately
- You replenish supplies and perform general maintenance tasks as needed
- You follow health and safety protocols
- You work in close collaboration with medical and administrative staff to ensure effective coordination
- You respect confidentiality regulations and rights by working discreetly and respectfully in patients' personal spaces
- You communicate effectively and respectfully.
Profile
- You have previous experience as a cleaning and hygiene agent or in a similar role
- You have in-depth knowledge of cleaning products and techniques
- You are capable of working independently and following precise instructions
- Your physical condition allows you to handle cleaning equipment and move around workspaces
- You have excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- You are respectful of patients' privacy and needs
- You are willing to work variable hours, including weekends and public holidays.
