In this role, you are responsible for the complete management of the financial matters of research projects and service contracts. You advise researchers on managing their acquired funds while ensuring compliance with prescribed regulations such as laws and funders' guidelines. Your focus will be on projects with national research partners.

For this position, you have a completed degree in business administration or finance (FH/HF) or a related field of study. You have solid experience in financial project management, are confident in handling international accounting standards such as IPSAS or IFRS, and ideally have already worked with third-party funds. Experience in the university or research environment is an advantage and complements your profile perfectly.
You are reliable! Both the team and the researchers appreciate your open and service-oriented manner. You work independently, structured, and efficiently, have a quick grasp, and keep an overview even in complex situations. Flawless communication in German and English is a matter of course for you, and you know how to clearly identify and convey the essentials even on demanding topics.

- Independent information gathering, advising, and supporting researchers in budgeting their research projects and preparing the project budget in collaboration with the researchers
- Evaluation of contracts regarding correct accounting according to IPSAS (International Public Sector Accounting Standard)
- Professional contract review of all finance-related topics such as VAT, overhead, project controlling, and financial processing of approved funds (invoicing, financial reporting)
- Maintenance and creation of all required project master data and milestones of research projects in SAP (PS module)
- Cross-departmental work in project controlling as well as preparatory tasks for annual financial statements
