Team Lead Risk Modelling
Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and mentor a team of risk modelling experts while fostering collaboration.
Lead the continuous development of the L&H risk module within the Internal Model.
Oversee and support the yearly calibration process of various L&H risk factors.
Lead projects which go beyond the L&H risk module, such as dependencies to other risk modules, operational risk or credit risk.
Collaborate with all experts working on the Internal Model to ensure consistency across modules
Work closely with experts within the Risk Management, L&H Business unit, and L&H Reserving teams within Finance.
Understand the implications of model changes and the corresponding regulatory requirements.
Explain and justify the model in front of senior management and in front of regulatory supervisors.
Qualifications
Required experience & competencies
Substantial professional experience in actuarial or risk modelling gained in insurance or reinsurance.
Project or team leadership experience
Extensive knowledge of L&H actuarial topics
Knowledge in other modelling fields like risk aggregation/dependency modelling, market risk, credit risk or operational risk is advantageous
Solid programming skills (Python experience would be advantageous).
Deep knowledge of Solvency II and/or SST
Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt style depending on audience
Ability and drive for continuous improvement
Experience in working in a multi-cultural environment
Required Education
Master of PhD in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Physics or similar quantitative discipline
