Orpund is a vibrant community near Biel, characterized by a high quality of life and proximity to forest and Aare river. The primary school has grown significantly in recent years and is distinguished by a motivated, committed team, innovative projects, and a very well-equipped and maintained infrastructure. Around 290 children are taught in 11 primary classes and 4 kindergartens by about 60 teachers.
From summer 2026, we are looking for a professionally and personally convincing personality with a positive attitude and a contemporary understanding of leadership.

Tasks
• Leadership of the Primary School Orpund in a partnership co-leadership
• Ensuring a clearly structured organization with reliable processes
• Support and guidance of teachers and parents
• Further development of pedagogical quality and the school location together with the team
• Presence in everyday school life as well as binding communication with staff, parents, and students
Requirements
• You have experience in the school sector in a heterogeneous environment and have completed school leadership training or are willing to complete it.
• As a leader, you make clear decisions and at the same time live a leadership understanding based on participation, trust, and empowering your employees.
• You are a personality with high empathy, social competence, and genuine interest in the people who support our school.
• You maintain transparent, appreciative communication and have an authentic, positive appearance.
• You have the ability to respect what has proven itself while maintaining an open attitude towards new ideas and the willingness to actively shape school development.
• You credibly represent the values of the school and create a working environment in which teachers and learners are supported.
We offer
We offer a co-leadership position with scope for design and real influence on school development. A very well-organized school office reliably supports you in the administrative daily business.
You will meet a faculty that is passionate, professional, and rich in experience. In addition, there is constructive and appreciative cooperation with the building service, day school, parent council, school authority, school social work, as well as child and youth work.
The employment is permanent. The workload can be increased with regular teaching lessons or special education lessons.
