The EOC, the multisite hospital of Ticino, is present with its institutes throughout the entire cantonal territory for a total of 1,000 beds. Profile
The orthopedic-traumatology surgery service of the Lugano Regional Hospital is the cantonal center for polytraumatized patients (MAS) and covers the entire spectrum of traumatology and orthopedics including complex cases throughout the cantonal territory. The service is recognized by the SIWF for the training of assistants in traumatology and orthopedics of the musculoskeletal system as B1, collaborates with several university centers, and has hosted a Master’s teaching in Biomedicine since 2020.
Necessary requirements
- Degree/diploma in medicine and specialization in orthopedics and traumatology of the musculoskeletal system* or equivalent title and related registration with MedReg before starting work ((https://www.medregom.admin.ch)
- For doctors with foreign titles, recognition by the Federal Commission for Medical Professions MEBEKO and related registration with MedReg (https://www.medregom.admin.ch) before starting work is mandatory
- Proven knowledge of the Italian language
- (required level at least B2) with related registration with MedReg (https://www.medregom.admin.ch) before starting work, knowledge of other national languages and English is desirable
