Project: For our client, a large pharmaceutical company based in Kaiseraugst, we are looking for an Automation Engineer Pharma Engineering (m/f/d).
Background:
The Pharma Engineering home base is looking for an Automation Engineer Pharma Engineering (m/f/d) in the Packaging Warehouse Logistics area for the Basel and Kaiseraugst locations. The "Pharma Engineering" home base offers internal business partners in the areas of research, development, launch, and market production as well as packaging, warehouse, logistics at the Basel and Kaiseraugst locations professional engineering services.
The activities include the planning, implementation of projects, and operational engineering of packaging and small batch packaging systems on the automation side. The focus of this position is the operational engineering of packaging lines for sterile dosage forms. In addition, the business partners are supported in idea generation and concept development of new, innovative solutions for designing efficient production and packaging processes. Within the framework of operational engineering, conversion measures, problem solutions, and efficiency improvements are implemented in direct cooperation with the business partners. The process systems to be supported (mainly stand-alone systems) have a very high degree of automation and are strongly networked with each other and with higher-level IT systems.
Orders and projects are handled without hierarchies in self-organized specialist teams with a role-based working model. This requires a high degree of self-organization, foresight, and team spirit, as well as pronounced communication skills.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
* Support of existing and new automation systems integrated or to be integrated into the Roche infrastructure.
* Operational engineering with the goal of ensuring production continuity at all times
* Continuous optimization of process systems and evaluating, testing, and recommending new technologies * proactive support of business partners in defining and initiating investment projects, including cost estimates and schedules
* Participation in (leading) interdisciplinary teams with internal and external employees and companies
* Independent handling of subprojects in all project phases with responsibility for costs, deadlines, resources, and technical solutions
* Support during audits and inspections by internal bodies and authorities in the GMP and SGU area
Must Haves:
* Completed vocational training or degree as technician/engineer in automation, electrical engineering, technical computer science, or comparable
* At least 5 years of professional experience in the automation environment, preferably with a pharmaceutical background.
* Very good user knowledge in automation software, for example: Siemens PCS7, TIA, WinCC or other systems such as B&R etc.
* Experience with vertical integration of systems to higher-level systems (e.g., automation pyramid / PI & MES).
* Solid experience in the GMP and GAMP environment.
* Willingness to work in an agile, self-organized work environment
* Very good German skills are required, English and French skills are an advantage
* High social competence, teamwork skills, and very good communication, coordination, and organizational skills in dealing with stakeholders and at all levels of project work.
