As part of the development of our "Mobility Development" unit, we are advertising the following position:
Engineer / Mobility Specialist (80% to 100%)
(fixed-term contract until November 30, 2027)
Your mission
You will anticipate and support societal changes in the transport world by actively contributing to the development of multimodal, inclusive, and sustainable mobility solutions, driven by Geneva public transport and their partners in the Greater Geneva area.
Your main responsibilities
- Design and implement tpg actions within research and innovation projects, notably European ones (e.g., Horizon Europe program),
- develop the network of mobility hubs in the Greater Geneva area, with particular attention to sustainable development and inclusivity,
- exploit various data to pragmatically and analytically address the potential of new mobility offers, evaluate existing ones, and design the interconnection of public, private, and shared transport networks,
- develop and maintain strong professional relationships with all partners, representing the company’s interests with rigor and diplomacy, both internally and with external stakeholders, within your area of expertise.
Your profile
- Degree in engineering, geography, or urban planning, with a specialization in mobility, or equivalent training,
- 2 to 5 years of experience at the interface between public transport and shared mobility (e.g., in a consulting firm, public authority); otherwise, a strong interest in these fields and/or academic work on a related subject,
- good knowledge of social inclusivity principles and accessibility in passenger transport/urban space, especially related to passenger information, and willingness to develop these skills,
- proven interpersonal skills, with experience in citizen participation (e.g., facilitating discussion groups, qualitative interviews),
- mastery of data collection, management, and analysis related to mobility,
- recognized project management skills, ideally in research and innovation projects of the Confederation and/or the European Union,
- perfect command of English and French (spoken and written),
- strong writing skills, especially for report production,
- knowledge of Geneva’s political and economic organization, cantonal and federal transport legislation, as well as spatial planning,
- autonomous, rigorous, and methodical personality, proactive, with a personal vision on mobility issues,
- excellent interpersonal skills, service-oriented, team spirit,
- ability to manage pressure and commit during periods of high activity.
