The main IT department is the central competence and service center for IT for the cantonal administration, the courts, and the municipalities. In the newly created position as CISO, you are responsible for the strategic and operational management of information security in our institutions. You will strengthen and further develop our holistic security strategy to protect our data, systems, and processes from threats. An exciting role with operational tasks and varied projects awaits you in a flexible and interdisciplinary team.
We are looking for a
Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) 80–100 %
immediately or by arrangement with the workplace in Glarus.
Tasks
- Further development and implementation of the comprehensive IT security strategy and our ISMS according to ISO27001
- Identification, assessment, and minimization of IT security risks
- Conducting awareness training and sensitization campaigns
- Building and leading an effective security incident response team
- Close coordination within the main IT department, with the government council, municipal councils, the administrative commission of the courts, various federal offices, and external partners to continuously improve security measures
Requirements
- Completed studies in computer science or a comparable qualification
- Professional experience in IT security, ideally as an IT security officer or CISO
- Sound knowledge in cybersecurity, risk management, and compliance
- Experience with awareness campaigns and training employees on security issues
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or comparable qualifications are an advantage
- Analytical skills and networked thinking
- Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style
- Communicative personality with presence and persuasiveness
- Ability to motivate and lead interdisciplinary teams
