Internship or Training Position in Work Education (70-80%)
The Schmelzi Foundation provides a home for people who are in challenging life situations and need support in their daily lives. We offer individual care and as much time as they need to stabilize. For this purpose, the foundation operates various residential and employment offers.
Tasks as a Learning Field
In the day care maintenance, clients experience a meaningful daily structure through manual work. The diverse range of tasks ensures varied activities: maintenance of properties and surroundings, renovations, carpentry and painting work, as well as helping with moves and clearances. You accompany the clients during the execution of the work and provide assistance where necessary. These include, among others, the following tasks:
- Assistance and accompaniment of clients during the daily structure time
- Preservation and promotion of resources
- Client discussions, dossier management, and implementation of target agreements
- Collaboration in client admission and discharge
- Organizational, coordination, and control tasks within the area and the foundation
- Contacts with other areas, referring agencies, and the helper network
- Various administrative tasks (case management with GBM /P&D)
Requirements
- Joy and appreciation in dealing with people in challenging life situations
- Training position or in the admission process at a recognized educational institution (AEB Academia Euregio Bodensee, IfA Institute for Work Education, Agogis)
- Completed initial training
- Sense of responsibility and reliability
- Resilience, openness, empathy
- You work solution- and resource-oriented
- Strong communication skills in spoken and written form
- You are committed and enjoy working in a team
- Driver's license category B
