Prosecutor 80 - 100%The Public Prosecutor's Office I of the Canton of Zurich conducts cantonal criminal investigations against adults in the area of serious violent crime.
As of July 1, 2026, or by arrangement, we are looking to complement our team with two new colleagues as Prosecutor (80% and 100%).
These are your tasks
- Leading and handling criminal investigations in the area of major crimes (homicides, etc.), qualified sexual offenses and child protection cases as well as in particularly demanding cases of domestic violence
- Close cooperation with the police and other interface partners (FOR, IRM, etc.)
- Representing the prosecution before the district court and the higher court as well as conducting follow-up proceedings
- Performing regular on-call duties
- Professional leadership, instruction and supervision of office staff
- Participation in projects and commissions within the specialization of STA I
What you bring
- Very good knowledge of criminal and criminal procedure law and experience in the specialization area of STA I
- Several years of experience in handling criminal cases as well as court experience before first and second instance
- Lawyer's license (ideally) or a similar additional qualification
- Eligible as prosecutor according to the Zurich Court Organization Act
- Systematic, efficient and independent investigation management, decisiveness, assertiveness and strong commitment to prosecution
- Teamwork, collegiality and enjoyment of responsibility
- Integrity, discretion and high resilience even in demanding situations
