Logistics Manager (reception) in hospital logistics
The Supply, Distribution and Storage Service (ADS) is looking for a Logistics Manager (reception) at a workload between 80% - 100%, on a fixed-term contract, for a start date on April 1, 2026, until March 31, 2027.
Context
The University Hospital of Vaud (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals and one of the best in the world according to the 2025 ranking by Newsweek magazine. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading and European-scale role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Hospital Logistics Department (LOH) has the mission to ensure that care, teaching, and research units can fully focus on their core business by providing and developing efficient logistical operational services (disinfection and maintenance, patient transfers, sterilization, catering, goods transport, stock management, etc.).
The Supply, Distribution and Storage Service (ADS) has nearly 130 employees. Its main mission is to control the flow of goods and mail entering and leaving the institution. At the same time, its professional teams manage the stocks of care units, both in hospital wards and operating rooms.
Mission
- You manage all goods and postal parcels arriving at the dock and direct them to the correct recipient
- You check and record orders, sort various types of mail to be distributed, and ensure unpacking
- You supervise and unload heavy goods vehicles and then bring the rolls to the "AGV" stations according to the required destination
- You are responsible for integrating new employees and their training
- You perform all tasks related to reception activities and participate in the quality of services provided.
Profile
- You hold a Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as a logistician or an equivalent qualification
- You have at least 2 years of professional experience in stock management
- You possess a forklift license and have completed the load handling course
- You have good knowledge of computer tools
- You are organized, autonomous, and have a strong ability to work in a team
- You are dynamic, able to handle heavy loads and walk long distances
- You are willing to work variable hours, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- You are willing to work in windowless premises.
