About the job
The University Children’s Hospital of Basel (UKBB) is an independent, university competence centre for paediatrics and adolescent medicine as well as for teaching and research in north-western Switzerland. Due to a retirement in the team, we are looking for a certified Biomedical Analyst HF 100% for our accredited paediatric laboratory from 1 January 2027 or by arrangement.
Start date: from 1 January 2027 or by arrangement
Your tasks
- Independently performing routine analyses in haematology and haemostasis
- Microscopic differentiation and assessment of blood counts, cerebrospinal fluid and punctates
- Performing capillary blood sampling
- Supervision of POCT, especially blood gas analysers
- Participation in the introduction of new methods and analyses
- Continuous further training
- Performing holiday, weekend and on-call duties
Your profile
- Completed training as a certified BMA HF or training qualification with SRK recognition
- Independent, motivated, team-oriented and resilient BMA with precise, organised and analytical working methods
- Good communication skills and collaboration with the management team, interdisciplinary departments and external institutions
- Professional experience as a BMA is desirable
