The Zurich Public Prosecutor's Office is responsible for prosecuting crimes committed by adults throughout the canton of Zurich. It employs around 480 staff members across eight offices and the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. To strengthen our core business, the Competence Center for Jurisdiction was established at the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, which aims to bundle relevant expertise for targeted triage and handling of complex jurisdictional matters.

For our Competence Center for Jurisdiction, we are seeking your support as a Prosecutor (100%) starting January 1, 2026, or by agreement.

Your tasks include:
- Handling inter-cantonal jurisdiction requests, especially in complex and demanding cases
- Conducting inter-cantonal exchanges of opinions on jurisdictional issues
- Filing complaints in jurisdiction disputes before the Federal Criminal Court
- Acting as an internal advisory and contact point for jurisdictional questions
- Collaborating on the development and optimization of internal process workflows in jurisdiction matters as well as in related projects and working groups

Your profile:
- Proven experience in handling extensive and complex criminal investigations as well as very good knowledge of criminal and criminal procedural law
- Professional demeanor and diplomatic negotiation skills, combined with assertiveness and precise verbal expression
- Quick comprehension, high independence and decisiveness, as well as the ability to weigh process opportunities and risks and set appropriate priorities
- Equal enthusiasm for litigation and for developing pragmatic, consensual solutions
- Good to very good knowledge of French and English (C1 level), knowledge of Italian is also an advantage
