Business Development Trainee (100%)

Herzog & de Meuron is an international architectural practice based in Basel, Switzerland. Established in 1978, the practice is led by the two founders together with the Partners and the CEO. Today, an international team of over 500 collaborators is engaged in a wide range of projects across Europe, the Americas and Asia. The main office in Basel works in tandem with studios in Berlin, Hong Kong, London, New York Munich, Paris and San Francisco.

In our Basel office, we have an opening for a motivated Business Development Trainee (100%) to join for six months with the option to extend for further 6 months.

The Business Development department is responsible for researching, supporting the pursuit of and managing potential new project opportunities for Herzog & de Meuron globally.

As a trainee you will support the Business Development Head and the team by assisting with day-to-day responsibilities related to sector analysis, market research and content production for potential clients.

Your Key Tasks:

• Support in preparing needed research in sport, education and healthcare as well as recording and maintenance of data.
• Produce graphic and textual content such as presentations and other collateral.

Your Profile:

• Major or concentrate in marketing, data analytics, sports marketing, sales or adjacent subjects. An interest in architecture and design is helpful.
• Proactive, detail oriented and good communication skills.
• Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of Adobe Suite is a plus.
• Native or advanced English speaker is required, ideally with strong writing skills.
