As a Senior Assembler, you take on a central role within Axpo installations. With your extensive expertise, experience, and quality awareness, you perform demanding work on high-voltage systems and support the team as a technical sparring partner. You set standards in occupational safety and quality and contribute significantly to the successful realization of our infrastructure projects throughout Switzerland.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- You lead and coordinate complex assembly work on high-voltage systems (AIS/GIS) in the voltage levels 50 kV – 380 kV, including planning of workflows and quality assurance.
- You independently carry out mechanical and electrical assembly work and take responsibility for the correct assembly, cabling, and commissioning of relevant high-voltage equipment (switches, disconnectors, transformers, etc.).
- You support project and construction management as an experienced specialist, identify technical risks early, and actively contribute optimizations.
- You professionally guide less experienced assemblers, share knowledge, and ensure know-how transfer within the team.
- You consistently monitor compliance with occupational safety, create risk assessments, and ensure a safe working environment for the entire team.
- You work closely with internal and external partners and communicate solution-oriented on equal footing with various interfaces.
Profile & Requirements
- Several years of experience in the assembly of high-voltage systems as well as deep technical understanding of AIS and GIS systems.
- Completed vocational training in a mechanical or electrical profession; further training (e.g., site manager, safety training, technical specializations) is a plus.
- Strong leadership skills, high independence, and the ability to solve complex problems efficiently.
- Very good organizational skills, sense of responsibility, and enjoyment in coaching younger team members.
- High willingness to travel within Switzerland as well as flexibility regarding changing deployment locations.
- Commitment to actively further develop Axpo's technical standards and safety culture.
