The Kantonsschule Stadelhofen is a cantonal high school. In 2026, our school will be expanded with a branch in Dübendorf. At full capacity, it is intended to accommodate 650 students and will include, in addition to the short gymnasium, a commercial middle school and a lower gymnasium.

For the establishment of the branch and the later operation, we are looking for a future operations manager immediately or by arrangement. The building is currently under construction. Your workplace will initially be in the city of Zurich, directly at Stadelhofen train station until the building in Dübendorf is ready for occupancy (spring / summer 26). After that, your place of work will be in Dübendorf. The project is in a continuous development process and the scope of tasks changes according to the project progress.

Your tasks

• In this versatile and responsible position, you are responsible for the operation and maintenance of the entire infrastructure (two school buildings and a sports hall with two gyms)
• Leadership and training of the janitorial team and internal cleaning staff
• Overall responsibility for building technology, monitoring building control system and KNX
• Ensuring maintenance, servicing and repair of furniture, infrastructure as well as the buildings
• Coordination and planning of holiday and cleaning work
• Planning and supervision of conversions and renovations
• Member of the emergency staff
• Collaboration with external companies and authorities
• Budgeting, invoice verification and procurement in the area of janitorial services

Your profile

• Qualification as janitor HFP, facility management and maintenance manager or comparable
• Several years of professional experience in technical building management or a similar/comparable field
• Several years of leadership experience with pronounced social skills
• Enjoyment in working with young people
• Good resilience – you remain calm even in hectic times
• Independent, reliable and service-oriented working style
• Organizational skills, technical understanding and good judgment
• Good IT user skills (MS Office)
• Willingness to take holidays primarily during school holidays
