Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with a Senior Project Manager or Project Manager to guide a smaller, less complicated portfolio or aid with more strategic accounts.
- Partner with clients to finalize study specifications, including potentially attending an initial in-person client meeting. Drive study setup, maintain filing systems, and keep accurate records, adhering to quality management systems.
- Collaborate with the Senior Project Manager to guarantee timely fulfillment of business tasks that align with customer and study needs.
- Coordinate and communicate all relevant activities, both internal and external, to ensure services and products are ready for the study start or as the need arises by the customer.
- Achieve results using appropriate project planning tools to communicate achievements and critical path activities and responsibilities.
- Collaborate with the Master Production Scheduler to optimize clinical supplies' production, balancing customer requirements with available capacity.
- Build or support the building of batch documentation and operational documents using internal systems, including billing package review. Provide support to the Project Manager on financial planning and quote forecasting processes.
- Monitor project activities and day-to-day business, establishing customer-approved job specifications.

- Lead several small to medium projects; handle more complex projects with mentorship from senior team members as needed.
- Structure projects in line with client strategy, identifying needs, defining resource requirements, tracking performance, and prioritizing improvement opportunities.
- Proactively diagnose project challenges, develop solutions, and overcome undesirable situations with minimal support.
- Effectively define and handle budgets, making revisions to reflect scope changes and established commitments.
- Understand customer contract terms and conditions and demonstrate skilled negotiation techniques.
Client Relationship Management:
- Perform and interpret comprehensive need analyses, demonstrating an understanding of the customer’s target market.
- Maintain knowledge of Thermo Fisher's solutions portfolio and communicate the company's value proposition in relation to the competition.
Technical Knowledge:
- Independently leverage and interpret data to ensure successful project results and customer happiness.
- Lead projects efficiently in different systems, maintaining accountability for individual and team outcomes.
Project Management Leadership:
- Seek mentorship and guidance to drive personal development and strengthen project management skills.
- Ensure all communications are clear, focused, and based on a proven understanding of needs, using the most appropriate medium.
- Partner with teams to quickly resolve or collaborate on solutions to problems, facilitating alignment on timelines among cross-functional teams.
- Take ownership of project results, develop respect from team members, and ensure agreement on the overall vision.
Key Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in project management or client-facing roles; experience in the pharma environment preferred but not required.
- Limited experience acceptable for candidates with an advanced degree or equivalent experience.
