The "small foreign policy" of the cantons has steadily gained importance in recent years. The Coordination Office for Foreign Relations of the State Chancellery supports the government of the Canton of St. Gallen in its external impact and takes on a coordinating role in inter-cantonal, cross-border, and international cooperation. In addition, it designs government events and serves as a contact point for protocol-related questions.

Event Staff (m/f/d)
Position: 50%
Workplace: St. Gallen
What to expect
- You organize government events in the cantonal, inter-cantonal, and cross-border context
- You take care of all work steps – from concept through event support to follow-up and further development
- You work skillfully with internal and external stakeholders
- You are familiar with customs and protocol related to events and apply this knowledge in daily work
- In addition, you take on support tasks in the coordination office
What distinguishes you
- You have a commercial basic education (EFZ) as well as further training in event management and bring proven experience in project and stakeholder management
- You are familiar with digital tools for event organization (e.g., M365 apps, event tool "Evenito") and are tech-savvy
- You are familiar with the Swiss political system and have very good knowledge of the Canton of St. Gallen
- You work in a structured, precise, and independent manner and are a resilient, service-oriented personality
- You have good oral and written German skills; knowledge of foreign languages is an advantage
- You are willing to take on new tasks and actively contribute to the further development of your area of responsibility
- You are flexible regarding workplaces and business trips within the framework of planning and conducting events
