Senior Physician or Head of Clinic at SUPEA
The University Service of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (SUPEA) is looking for a senior physician or head of clinic at 80% to 100%, in child and adolescent psychiatry and psychotherapy, for the Transcultural Unit for Children and Adolescents (UTEA) and the Regional Migrant Care Unit (USMiR), within the Department of Psychiatry of the CHUV.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a leading role in care, research, and education.
The SUPEA is a cantonal reference center for child and adolescent psychiatry care, with a strong focus on community psychiatry, local outpatient care, hospital services, as well as training and research missions.
The UTEA, a partially mobile unit, works with unaccompanied minor asylum seekers (UMAS) and in situations where transcultural issues complicate child psychiatric care. It promotes access to mental health care through a psychosocial approach and close collaboration with the socio-educational and health network.
The USMiR cares for accompanied minor asylum seekers, following a health home model that promotes coordinated, coherent, and efficient care, in collaboration with somatic and mental health professionals for children and adults.
Mission
- You are co-medically responsible for the UTEA and USMiR for the child psychiatric dimension
- You co-manage the clinical organization of the two units in collaboration with medical managers, psychotherapists, and nurses
- You work closely with other SUPEA units and the cantonal coordinator for migrant mental health

- You develop and maintain active collaboration with the institutional and community network
- You contribute to undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing education, as well as SUPEA research activities
- You handle administrative follow-up related to clinical activity
- You participate in on-call duties of the service.
Profile
- You hold an FMH title in psychiatry and psychotherapy
- You hold or are in the process of obtaining an MD or PhD degree (for the senior physician position)
- You hold a psychotherapist title or an equivalent recognized qualification
