Our client, Strähl Cheese AG, can rightly be called a leading large cheese dairy. The owner-managed family business with production sites in Siegershausen and Bürglen combines tradition, agility, and innovation. Around 85 motivated employees process regional milk daily into popular and high-quality products such as raclette, Tilsiter, cream cheese, fondue, and much more. Thanks to extensive expertise, modern infrastructure, and clearly defined
processes, the attractive and diversified customer base, consisting of
retailers, wholesalers, large distributors, industry, and export customers, is offered a
natural product with consistently high quality. Due to an upcoming
retirement, we are recruiting the future operations manager - member of the executive board (m/f) for the Siegershausen site.
YOUR MISSION
In this exciting, versatile, and also demanding key role, you are responsible for the production of the entire product range and ensure timely availability, cost-effectiveness, and quality along the entire
value chain. Your tasks include:
Leadership and assurance of the production facility at the Siegershausen site, which covers from milk intake to the shipping of the finished packaged
products
Responsibility for capacity, resource, and production planning and thus
ensuring the timely production of cheese at the desired ripeness, the correct quality, and the required quantity
Development and promotion of the team as well as direct professional and disciplinary leadership of the directly subordinate area/department heads and
employees
Ongoing analysis and optimization of the entire value creation process and definition of measures to improve cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and quality

Leadership of the maintenance team responsible for infrastructure and production facilities
Initiation, management, and implementation of projects in the areas of certifications,
audits, automation, and modernization
Further development of the company with the executive board team
Representation of Strähl Cheese AG to customers, technology, plant and
raw material suppliers as well as partner companies, institutions, and authorities
YOUR PROFILE
Our advertisement is aimed at a strong leadership and production-experienced
personality. Ideally, you have a basic training as a cheesemaker
(dairy technologist), further training as a food engineer and/or a higher
professional examination with master diploma (cheese master/dairy master). Due to your existing professional experience, you know the requirements, procedures, and processes of a cheese dairy or milk processing. Thanks to your analytical skills, you can
analyze value creation processes and further develop and optimize them. At the same time, you are a pragmatic doer, a good communicator, and a team player who understands how to work well with employees and develop them. You also have a good technical understanding of production facilities, pronounced organizational talent, high
reliability, and a dynamic basic attitude. Your current or future
residence is within commuting distance to the workplace in Siegershausen (TG).
