The Museum of Design Zurich is the leading Swiss museum for design and visual communication. Its collection unites over half a million objects from graphic and design history and is of international significance. As part of the Zurich University of the Arts ZHdK, the museum is engaged in research and teaching and regularly produces its own publications. At its three locations in Zurich – at Ausstellungsstrasse, on the Toni-Areal university campus, and in the Le Corbusier Pavilion – as well as through traveling exhibitions and in the digital space, the museum reaches a broad, international audience.

Are you a creative and communicative personality with a passion for mediation? Through your work, you will play a decisive role in actively shaping and further developing the profile of digital mediation at the Museum of Design Zurich.
Your tasks
Within the overall mediation concept, you are responsible for the conception, implementation, reflection, and documentation of mediation formats for different target groups related to permanent and temporary exhibitions in the leisure and educational sectors. A focus is the workshop offerings for schools. You design and produce digital mediation materials, especially for the mediation of the collection on-site, both on-site and online. You develop digital outreach, participatory, and inclusive projects in close collaboration with the curator and the mediation team. You also work at the interfaces with the project management for digitization and visitor experience as well as the marketing and communication department and actively contribute to the communication of the mediation programs. You maintain and expand project cooperations and networks in the field. Additionally, you are responsible for the operational support of the team in the area and the IT resources of the department.

Your profile
You have a completed degree in Art Education / Art Pedagogy, Interaction Design, Trends & Identity, Cast/Audiovisual Media, Process Design, or a comparable field.

You bring curiosity, joy of innovation, and solid expertise in digital media and programs. You are conceptually strong and have very good German language skills, both spoken and written. You also enjoy working in a team and in contact with the museum audience and are characterized by initiative, organizational talent, and a structured way of working.
