Job Description

Support our great team in this exciting position as Payroll Specialist (fixed-term maternity cover).
From May 1st to approximately the end of November, you will take on a central role in our payroll team and ensure the efficient, timely, and professionally flawless processing of payroll accounting and time management for SMG AG with its around 600 employees in Switzerland.

What to expect

• Participation in the entire payroll accounting (Abacus) of SMG AG including the associated administrative tasks
• Participation in social security and withholding tax settlements (including BVG)
• Processing of sickness and accident notifications with UKA-Solutions
• Processing of time management
• Participation in expense control and processing
• Advising employees on questions regarding social security, long-term absences, and specific labor law topics

Qualifications

What you bring

• At least 2-3 years of professional experience in payroll accounting
• Solid knowledge of Swiss social security and labor law
• Commercial basic training
• Professional certificate in social security, HR and/or Payroll Manager/Expert/Specialist (or equivalent training) is an advantage
• Very good MS Office skills, especially Excel
• Experience with Abacus is an advantage
• Confident German language skills
• Good English skills
• Cheerful and humorous personality who values good and open teamwork
• Optimistic attitude and a can-do mentality
