The Social Department supports and accompanies people in various life situations and ensures the correct processing of financial benefits.
For our team, we are looking for an experienced and numbers-savvy individual for the position of Accounting & Social Administration Clerk starting 1 December 2026 or by arrangement.
Your tasks
- You manage client accounting in Tutoris for social assistance, advance maintenance payments, and parental allowance
- You prepare payment runs, post and check invoices as well as incoming and outgoing payments, ensuring correct account coding
- You regularly reconcile Tutoris with the financial accounting and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with the finance department
- You monitor refunds and repayments and ensure a cleared financial situation upon case closure
- You prepare quarterly accounts in the refugee sector and check the corresponding reimbursements
- You contribute to the year-end closing as well as to statistical and financial evaluations
- You submit invoices to health insurance companies and social insurances for reimbursement and handle administrative tasks related to premium reductions
- You process refund and offsetting cases with social insurances, prepare final accounts if necessary, and claim eligible health costs from the responsible authorities
- Additionally, you support the team with administrative tasks and occasionally at the customer counter and on the phone
Your profile
- Commercial basic training or a comparable qualification
- Several years of practical experience in accounting or bookkeeping
- Experience in public administration or social services is an advantage
- Experience with client or subsidiary accounting
- Confident handling of payment transactions, account reconciliations, refunds, offsets, and closing tasks
- Knowledge of interfaces between social assistance and social insurance is advantageous
- Knowledge of Tutoris is highly desirable; knowledge of Abacus or comparable financial systems is an advantage
- Basic knowledge of social assistance and social insurance is advantageous
- A very careful, structured and independent working style as well as a strong numerical understanding
- Good IT application skills, especially in Microsoft Office 365
- You enjoy working in a team, communicate clearly, and handle confidential information reliably and discreetly
