The Swiss Air Rescue Guard Rega provides professional air medical assistance 24 hours a day to patients in Switzerland and worldwide. This private foundation of public utility is supported by more than 3.6 million donors. For our crew in Sion and, part-time, for those at other helicopter bases in French-speaking Switzerland, we are looking for a motivated person to strengthen our team starting September 1, 2026. In this varied field of activity, you will be able to fully leverage your passion for helicopter air rescue.These activities excite you
- perform rescue and inter-hospital transfer flights in visual and instrument flight (day and night) in Switzerland and border regions
- ensure safe and smooth air operations as a crew member
- be available for irregular working hours (on-call services, 24-hour interventions)
- maintain relationships with partners and collaborate within expert committees
What sets you apart
- completed professional training or higher secondary school diploma
- valid EASA professional helicopter pilot license with extensions for night flight (NIT) and Swiss mountains (MOU) as well as proven flight experience (> 2,500 hours, including 2,000 on turbine helicopters)
- If possible:
- NVIS
- EASA IFR Helicopter
- HESLO 2
- Experience in mountain air rescue
- Authorization to fly a twin-engine helicopter
- Reliable, autonomous personality, able to work in a team, physically and mentally resilient, with a strong sense of service
- Native French speaker and proficiency in German (spoken and written) as well as a good understanding of English
- Other requirements:
- Valid first aid certificate
- Excellent technical knowledge
- Good command of Microsoft 365
- Maximum age: 45 years
